From time to time Gender & Psychoanalysis will devote an entire issue to an important topic in order to explore it in depth. This issue of the journal is the first such effort. I wish to thank Claude Barbre, Director of the Harlem Family Institute in New York City, for serving as guest editor of this special issue, examining the intersecting domains of gender, psychoanalysis and religion. From conception to completion, this project bears the stamp of his generous spirit and creative intellect.
The next issue of the journal will focus on gender, psychoanalysis, and art. Also I am pleased to announce that editorial board member Emily Fox Kales will be assuming responsibility for a regularly appearing section dealing specifically with gender and film.
