On being objective about the subjective: Clinical aspects of intersubjectivity in contemporary psychoanalysis

R. D. Hinshelwood is professor in The Centre for Psychoanalytic Studies, University of Essex, and previously director of the Cassel Hospital. He is a fellow of the British Psychoanalytical Society, and a fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. He founded the British Journal of Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis and History; and is the author of The dictionary of Kleinian thought (1989), Clinical Klein (1993), and (with Wilhelm Skogstad) co-editor of the book, Observing Organisations (2000).
