It is with deep sadness that we announce the death, on May 25, 2007, of one of our closest and most valued colleagues, George A. Awad MD, originally of Acre, Palestine. Dr Awad worked closely both with Ira Brenner and me and with several members of our Editorial Board. We will miss him and we plan to pay tribute to him in an upcoming special issue considering psychoanalytic understanding of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
