It is with pleasure that we announce that Stephen Portuges, Ph.D. is joining us in the position of Executive Editor, responsible for growing and developing the continued submission and flow of high quality papers that have characterized the past (almost decade) of the publication of this journal.
Because Steve will be in charge of the paper review process, please submit all papers to him at: ijapsstephenportuges@ca.rr.com with copies to Nadia Ramzy, Ph.D. at: ramzyland@msn.com and Stuart W. Twemlow, M.D. at stuart.twemlow@gmail.com (please see journal inside back cover for instructions).
We warmly welcome Steve to our journal Editorial Board, and look forward to many more years of continued growth of our journal and to contributing broadly to the application of psychoanalytic thinking to multiple areas of human knowledge and experience.
We also warmly welcome three new members to our Editorial Board: Christine Hill, Ph.D. of Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, who will also serve as Regional Editor for the Southern Hemisphere for the journal; Marie G. Rudden, M.D., Berkshire Psychoanalytic Institute, West Stockbridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A.; and Frank C. Sacco, Ph.D., President of the Community Services Institute, Springfield and Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A.
We also announce that we have decided to change the format of the “In Focus” section of our journal as follows: We will re-title it “Brief Communications” publishing in it pieces from a paragraph to 2000 words in length, covering whatever is going on in the field that you think might be of interest to readers. We will also have a “Letters to the Editors” section with a limit of 500 words to respond to an article or to bring up a new idea. As we develop our readership to include those with psychoanalytic sympathies as well as interests, including those who have not completed formal psychoanalytic training, we look forward to an expanded and lively readership.
