In the cacophony surrounding the “radical Islamic terrorism” which, in my opinion, is better termed “radical un-lslamic terrorism,” the cries of Muslims who are suffering in this world go unheard. To be sure, some Muslim fanatics have committed acts of terror and violence; at times, these acts have been of dramatic proportions and have inflicted unwarranted and unjustified damage upon innocent civilians. At the same time, it is true that Muslims are also victims of politically motivated violence. Over 200,000 Muslim civilians have been killed as a result of US allied forces' pillage of Iraq.
Since the 9/11 attacks, the US government has carried out drone attacks in Afghanistan, Libya, Pakistan, Somalia, and Yemen, resulting in over 1000 civilian Muslim deaths, including women and children.
