Wayne Bodkin, DCplPsych, is a psychoanalyst and couple and family therapist. He trained at Tavistock Relationships and holds a doctorate in couple psychodynamic psychotherapy. For more than thirty-five years he has lived and worked in Montpellier, where his practice moves between the consulting room, prison, and the public hospital, between couples and families and those who have transgressed. Since 2012 he has been consultant psychotherapist in the forensic sexual abuse unit of the CHU's psychiatry department. He is Vice-President of the French Society of Forensic Psychologists, and also several international associations devoted to questions of sexual violence. He writes and speaks widely, most recently in 2025 Living With Illness in the Couple: Clinical Reflections from a Special Interest Group, and in chapters on sport, institutions, and the fractures of family life.
