In his address Dr. Rows says,
if we follow Freud's advice and go back in the life history of our patients, if we discover the causes which may have led to mental disability, we shall then begin to understand the cases from the biological and the psychological points of view.
He quotes a number of cases, some of which he states got well as a result of mental investigation and explanation. But Dr. Rows does not employ the technique of psycho-analysis.
