This is the first volume of a new Annual, which as its name implies is devoted to the application of psycho-analysis to the social sciences. It is subdivided into parts dealing respectively with Anthropology, Mythology, Religion, Literature, History and Sociology, and contains some fifteen articles by different contributors together with a general introduction by Dr. Roheim.
An Annual of this kind clearly fulfils a definite need, and, under the editorship of one who is already renowned for the versatility of his constructive imagination in the field of psycho-analytical anthropology, it should do much to promote the development of the new and important sciences with which it deals.
It certainly deserves and will receive the good wishes of all analysts.
