The author claims that he has found the objective method of dream analysis. In the Introduction he criticizes all present methods of dream analysis and interpretation and sums them up by stating that 'to a scientific mind the divergent views of the dream analysts and the methods followed by them sound no better than mumbo-jumbo'. His comments on psycho-analysis are typical for the author's approach. 'I think the Freudian interpretations do not add much to the specific feature of self-knowledge of that particular person.' Later on he says, 'If Adler had two diagnoses, that of inferiority and superiority, Freud did not have more than four, the active and the passive, and the positive and the negative Oedipus complex, and all human beings must fall under these headings.' The third person fell off. I woke up in a state of dread and fear. I was rushing down to help him. I could not find the body.' After all the associations and memories are collected the analyst makes a summary of the associations and asks the analysand to make one also. The analyst does not communicate his summary to the analysand, but asks him to stud
