This is a wise, well-written book, obviously the fruit of much clinical experience. It deals with the sexual problems of marriage, their origin and treatment.
The book is written in a clear, practical, interesting way, without any medical jargon, but, nevertheless, the matter is all based on sound psycho-analytic principles. It is warmly recommended to general practitioners and laymen, especially to Marriage Guidance Councillors, etc., to help them in the advice they themselves give, especially with reference to when a gynæcologist should be consulted and when a psychiatrist, and so on.
One of the outstanding features of the book is the way 'Medica' emphasises the large range of sexual behaviour which can be included in the normal, a fact which is often overlooked.
