Dr. Haun is Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, Georgetown University Medical School. In this book he discusses fifteen plans for small psychiatric sections in general hospitals. A bibliography of articles concerned with modern psychiatric hospital planning is appended. The majority of the plans appear to the reviewer to afford too few rooms which could be used for private interviews. The need for an adequate number of rooms for psychiatric social workers, psychologists and psychiatrists to interview patients privately is only slowly being recognized.
