In the introduction the writer says, 'It has been my specific intention … to write a book exposing the many blunders in sex technique which men commit every day, with the hope that the male reader will profit by the mistakes of others. It is also my purpose to teach the reader how to eliminate or correct his errors and develop a better physical relationship with his partner, so important to an enduring marriage.' So far as the first of these aims is concerned, he succeeds. In respect of the second, he gives the impression that difficulties which are the result of deep emotional disturbances can be resolved by intellectual understanding.
