This short book, written by a poet, is a very unscientific excursion into theoretical psychology. The lack of scientific method could be forgiven if the claims made for this 'new theory of the mechanism of the mind' were not so extravagant.
The 'Dupont Theory' is based on a book by the French novelist Paul Cami, and consists in the postulate that there is in the mind a 'superconscious', the function of which is to balance the amount of good and evil present.
The psycho-analyst is not likely to find anything useful to him in this book, and runs the risk of being irritated by Mr. Evelyn's flippant way of dealing with the subject.
