In this paper, not always easy to understand, time is considered (a) as the creation of the ego, (b) as unconsciously perceived via the body organs. The achievement of time is a great sublimation offering the ego infinite freedom of abstraction (as in mathematics) as well as pathways to emotional regression in the form of memories. The repression of deepest appeal to the body is through the time sense appertaining to contact with the body organs.
