Lacombe describes a case of a woman with neurodermatitis in which weeping alternated with skin irritation as the expression of her desire to be washed away in order to get inside her mother's skin, especially the skin of her breast. If this meaning of pathological weeping is general, it reveals that the desire to get into the skin of the mother's breast may underlie the envy of the penis emphasized by Greenacre.
