There are just a few remarks that I want to make in connexion with Dr Greenacre's paper where it concerns the role of vision, the earliest personality development. We are studying the same factors in the Hampstead Clinic on children who are born blind and who are under observation and in analysis with us. A paper of mine which appears in the next volume of the Psychoanalytic Study of the Child (Volume 16) concerns itself especially with the development of motility, aggression, and verbalization in the absence of vision. I can promise Dr Greenacre that we shall look carefully into all the development points mentioned by her in this connexion, and that we shall do our best to check on them.
