Abstract

According to Perrez, psychoanalysis is not, by the peculiarities of its subject matter, in need of any specific methodology different from that of the natural sciences. Rosenkötter's argument in favour of a method regarding psychoanalysis as a systematically generalized history (Habermas) is rejected on grounds of criteria for science elaborated by modern positivists.
