The European Psychoanalytical Federation has been publishing a Bulletin in English, French and German since 1972. It serves the main purpose of informing Eruopean analysts about activities in the various Societies, about matters of common interest, about events organized by the Federation (like the bi-annual conferences of the EPF, the bi-annual symposia on particular topics, the conferences of training analysts, the annual standing conferences on training and on child and adolescent analysis), or about specific topical issues such as psychoanalysis and governments or universities.
The Bulletin appears twice a year, each issue comprising between 150 and 180 pages. Although it does not intend to be a scientific journal but rather a vehicle of communication among European analysts, the papers from the EPF conference (e.g. on 'Understanding and interpretation of the negative transference', 'Interpretation – of the past or the present?', 'The psychoanalytic encounter'), from the symposia (e.g. on 'Construction and reconstruction', 'Affects and drives', 'The death drive'), from the standing conferences (e.g. 'Countertransfernce', 'Evaluation and its discontents', 'Final stages in the process of qualification'), and the reports on other activities or issues can claim to be of interest to psychoanalysts outside Europe as well.
Up to now, the EPF Bulletin has been available only to European analysts who receive it automatically as part of the dues they pay each year. The Council of the EPF has now decided to make the Bulletin available to psychoanalysts all over the world.
We therefore invite subscriptions from psychoanalysts outside Europe. If you are interested in taking out a subscription for 1989 (2 issues) we ask you to write to
