In their exciting work on ‘figurability’, César and Sára Botella, training analysts of the Paris Psychoanalytical Society, invite us to trace the paths along which their thought has been developed and deployed across a vast field of psychoanalytic metapsychology, which they have been studying for about 20 years. A series of works, reviewed in chronological order, has provided the foundation stone for this book. These works have been ‘reworked and updated’, which gives them both a greater depth and a retroactive dimension. Other texts are unedited. This work is currently undergoing translation into English for publication by Routledge.
