The Editors wish to make a statement in relation to: the 2002 editorial entitled ‘A boycott by passport’ (Gabbard and Williams, 2002), a letter from Martin Kemp (2005) and the further editorial statement (Gabbard and Williams, 2005). In this latter statement we wrote that we regretted ‘publishing Kemp (2005) that contained partisan hatefulness’.
On further reflection, we recognize that in publishing this statement we unfairly impugned Mr Kemp's personal and professional integrity. We wish to make it clear that this was not our intention and we apologize unreservedly to Mr Kemp for the offence it caused him.
