Am Beispiel vom Ödipuskomplex und dessen Untergang sowie der Sicht auf „genitale“ männliche und weibliche Psychosexualität werden strukturale Konzeptionen in der Metapsychologie aufgezeigt. Diese verleihen der psychoanalytischen Theorie im Rahmen zeitgenössischer Entwicklungen einen immer normativeren Charakter und müssen deshalb dekonstruiert werden. Nur dann kann die Psychoanalyse kritisch aufklärerisch an der Debatte um aktuelle Formen von Sexualität und Familienstrukturen teilnehmen.

By the example of the Oedipal complex and its mastery and the evaluation of the so-called genital male and female psychosexuality the author points out structural concepts in metapsychology. These latter ones confer to psychoanalytical theory a more and more normative character. Therefore the structural approach in metapsychology has to be deconstructed in order to permit the full critical participation of psychoanalysis in the comprehension and the debate of present forms of sexuality and family life.
