In part two another language barrier is being investigated in, that is, the disruption that occurred early on in psychoanalysis between Freud and Jung, with respect to an individual view on the uncscious vs. an understanding of the unconscious as a collective phenomenon.
In this second essay I have tried to be more concise in outlining Jung's and Erdheim's respective concepts, and to address their connection with the concept of metaphor. At the same time I have stressed some connections with Winnicott's ideas - of the transitional space, his paradoxon of the created and the provided object, his differentiation between object mother and environment mother. My own contribution begins where I connect Jung's and Erdheim's ideas using the concept of metaphor (Soldt) and Winnicott's ideas. While I decided to abandon the clinical example used in the original version I newly introduced three observations from everyday experience on which I can build my own argument.
