The object of this paper is to explore the concept of “K link”, understood as the construction of implicit and shared knowledge, and its relationship with “O”, highlithing specific dynamics of this link among the psychoanalytic relationship, The K-O/O-K link can be indeed thought of as the engine that allows both the subject and the analytical couple to stay within a vivifying tension aimed at change. We will be using here some clinical sequences, coming from different psychotherapies, in which the analytical couple goes through “aliveness” and “deadness” psychic elements in order to highlight the importance of the the conception of the “container/contained” and the ability of the analyst to be alive in its function of rêverie. It represents the means through which the transformative action of K can take place, through its connection with the concept of “O”, which refers to the process of potential tendency towards the truth. This allows the patient to enrich and expand the complexity of his/her own psychic life, as well as to transform the deadness components in aliveness and generative elements, using the therapeutic relationship as a space of creativity within which she/he can move towards vitality, curiosity and psychic dynamism.
