The work attempts to determine the nameless, which is hidden in the core of unrepresented, unconceptualized states and breakdowns, metapsychologically with Freud and Bion. For this purpose, the earliest formation of elements and concepts is traced microscopically using the example of the mother- infant relationship. Sensual impressions and sensations as β elements are placed in relation to the α-elementary pre-conception, whereby the latter penetrate the impressions and sensations that receive a pre-objectal direction. This enables the object to hear the cry as a call. At first, the ‘discharge’ of unwanted sensations occurs into the breast that is not there, i.e. into the pre-conception. With the realization of the pre-conception in a moment of presence, the α-elementary structure is initialized and determined, so that the elements qualified by the mother find their place in the conception, stabilize and differentiate them. The qualified elements connected in the conception allow the transformation into the presentative, while the conception hides itself again. It is shown that ‘good’ as well as ‘bad’ states can be qualified and conceptually connected, but not traumatic ones, which are determined as collapse of the α-elementary conceptual structure. From this derivation, the nameless can be determined, which is described in its two extreme manifestations: In the non-reality that manifests itself in hallucination and in the non-existence that hides itself in breakdowns and severe encapsulated states.
