This article's proposal is to introduce, approximate and promote a dialogue among a few concepts in Bion's work, and with texts of post-Bionian psychoanalysts (Ogden, Ferro, Rocha Barros and Chuster) as well: psychoanalytic intuition, reverie and alpha function. How can we think the connection between intuition and reverie? Could the state of reverie in the analyst's mind have, as a main pillar, before and beyond the sensuous, in the infra- and ultra-sensuous areas, the analyst's intuition capacity? Thus, I present a disturbing experience of this analyst in her consulting room, and then I make a “metaphorization” exercise of approximation of the concepts through the clinical material. In the final part of the text I discuss the other scene of the reverie, which emerged from the writing of this text: when the dystopic nightmare transforms into facts, the COVID-19 pandemic. This other scene of reverie reveals the complexity in the formation of an image that captures not only the personal suffering, but also the collective one. I approach the on-line setting during the pandemic, and its horizontality of anxieties between analysts and analysands in an extension never seen before in the history of psychoanalysis.
