Abstract
Fantasy is not an observable fact. It has to be inferred from clinical data selected by the analyst.I explore two possibilities whether fantasy is constructed ie a new product or whether it is reconstructed ie already existing in the mind as a structure. Also discussed are what are the requirements for fantasy to exist in the mental apparatus.
