This paper starts with a theoretical review on sublimation in Freud's work and follows with an examination of the dialogue established by Laplanche with Freud's ideas. This review proposes considering sublimation as a clinical, mobile, and dynamic phenomenon capable of participating in the creation of the psychoanalytic processes. Inspired by the idea of Bahnung , the perspective of sublimation - desublimation - resublimation movements is considered in the analysis and brings the model of transformations closer to Freudian metapsychology. The idea of resublimation is presented, understanding it as something that allows new symbolizations and advances based on the encounter that is the foundation of psychoanalytic field. These dynamics are discussed in a clinical summary of an analysis in which the experiences of transforming somatic elements and actions are gradually symbolized through psychoanalysis: a process that can unbind investments, desublimate deficient bonds, and thereby provide conditions for resublimations.
