With this issue, the International Journal of Psychoanalytic Self Psychology introduces some film reviews. In the future, we plan on occasion to offer reviews of movies, plays, music events, art exhibits, and television series that are meaningful to contemporary psychoanalysis. Last year, two movies especially fit this bill: del Toro's Pan's Labyrinth and von Donnersmarck's The Lives of Others. It is particularly noteworthy that these movies are foreign, that their creators are quite young, and that each film is an original work of genius.
