This essay updates my 1970s memory of Eugene Gendlin. It finds him, to my delight, alive and still growing. Currently, Gendlin writes from a thoroughly contextual and systems perspective. The life process that he illuminates is self-organizing in a more intricately complex way than he originally imagined. In terms that feel spiritual, he tells us, “A great undivided multiplicity—of which we humans are a part—is always at work.”
