It is my pleasure to express our acknowledgement and gratitude as the editors of the IJPSP to the associate editors, editorial staff, reviewers, and translators who have again given selflessly of their time during this past year. In fact, it has been one year since Bill and I began sharing the duties of Editor-in-Chief of the journal. During this time I have been able to experience first hand the way in which countless people, whom we list below and who appear on our masthead, have willingly, and with good humor, helped the journal in its continued objective to publish cutting-edge articles, commentaries, and reviews. Our efforts as editors would be quite impossible without the help all of you provide.
As co-editor, I would also like to make a further, important acknowledgement. The person who is most deserving of our gratitude, and who often goes unacknowledged, is Bill Coburn himself. As the founding editor, Bill has guided the IJPSP since its inception six years ago. He has created a highly respected, cross-disciplinary journal in a publishing and mental health environment that continues to present challenges to the work we do as psychotherapists and psychoanalysts. Moreover, the journal seeks to represent and respond to the needs of a large and diverse international community. This is no small feat, and these accomplishments are a direct result of Bill's singular editorship. His unfailing guidance of the journal is laudable. Until one actually takes on the role of editor of a journal, I think it is difficult to imagine the sheer amount of work involved in the process. The fact that Bill has long made this process appear effortless, and done so in a continually friendly and open manner, is a testament to his considerable skill and talent. He deserves all of our gratitude. It is an honor for me to be able to join Bill in this endeavor.
That said, the work of this journal, as with any other, is only possible through the help and support
