This discussion of Sally Howard's article highlights the theoretical influences that guided her work, and suggests that a dynamic systems lens might be applied to the clinical material. With reference to the socio-political theories of justice and reconciliation, Reverend Petero Sabune's work in the aftermath of the Rawandan genocide is described. I also discuss my work with undocumented Central and South American immigrants in a community center.
