My discussion relates first to the materials that Maxwell S. Sucharov presents, including one illustration derived from my personal experience in Israel. Thereafter, I draw out some theoretical implications—namely, make a distinction between “wholeness” and “connectedness.” I suggest that wholeness (even by its linguistic connotation) may not be regarded as a relational system between “two” or more, but depicts a situation that is beyond relationships, a “whole”—that is, one entity. Relationality is an interpersonal structure, whereas wholeness is a different concept—possibly, “supra-relational.” The quest for a context of wholeness does not contradict or diminish the significance of contexts of relatedness. Both are versions of contextuality, of different orders. Finally, I illustrate the curative value of experiencing wholeness.
