Mann and Maduro's discussions are seen to constitute a unity, each responding to the themes of lived complexity, wholeness and connectedness in ways that complement each other. The discussions therefore provide a new understanding of my paper as a text that sits in the unexamined space between connectedness and wholeness, between the existential world of the finite individual and the transpersonal world of non-dual wholeness, with a tilt toward the latter. What has also emerged is a personal insight that searching for lost wholeness, as a repair to painful ruptures constitutes a pre-reflective principle organizing my deepest yearnings, whereby the current paper has taken my personal search to both a deeper and more general level.
