As the initial Editor of the Cultural Perspectives Section of PSC, I will be developing my vision of this section along with you. The general content of this section will include art and artists’ voices, biography, literature, poetry, writing about film, art, and music as well as personal reflections of cultural and clinical relevance and new kinds of clinical writing. We will be able to publish artwork that illuminates the text. This section will also include papers classified under the rubric of applied psychoanalysis, that is, the application of psychoanalytic principles or theories to works of literature, art, film, and other cultural phenomena.
Our IAPSP group contains many creative, reflective individuals, from whom I look forward to hearing. If you would like to submit a contribution for this section, please send inquiries to me at hershbs@verizon.net and include your email address and cell phone number.
