Richard had been waiting in front of the house. Inside the room he at once sat down and began to play. He was in a friendly but quiet mood. (Contrary to his usual practice, he did not drink from the tap at the beginning of the session.) He looked at Mrs K.'s handbag (which she had brought every day) and asked whether she had got this crocodile bag from her husband.
Mrs K. interpreted that he wanted it to be a present from Mr K., because that would show that although the crocodile was obviously a dangerous animal, Mr K. was also a ‘good crocodile’ who gave Mrs K. something lasting, a lasting and good genital.
Richard arranged a station in the same way as on the previous day, but put it up in a different place, farther away from Mrs K. He also put up various groups of toys between her and the station.
