Berggasse 19,

Dear Dr Pfister,
Your book has once more given me pleasure in its splendid English guise.2 You should be satisfied with the impact that your efforts are having.
I have also received a pile of publications from Beltrano in Buenos Aires. You are no longer up to date3 in contrasting my world renown with the indifference of Vienna. This month the Neue Presse actually published an article about my humble person, and there is a book in the bookshops by a pupil of Stekel's which is written in a not too unfriendly manner and tries to assess ‘the man, his work, and his school'4.
