Villa Schüler, Semmering, 10.8.1925
Dear Dr Pfister,
So you are back at work again. I have been up here for six weeks and still have not had enough of idling.
As for our young hopeful, I think you should let him go to his ruin. There is a vague possibility that I might be able to take him on September 15, or perhaps even on September 1, but the almost insuperable difficulty is that with his unsociability there is nothing whatever for him to do at Semmering, so that I should run the risk of excessively occupying myself with him. In Vienna that would be something which would take care of itself.
My daughter will give you my greetings at Homburg.2
Cordially yours,
Freud
