Dear Dr Pfister,
After another major operation I am fit for little and un-cheerful but, if I have got back to some kind of synthesis again by the end of the month-that is what I have been promised-am I to miss the opportunity of seeing my old but by God's grace rejuvenated friend1 here? Certainly not, I count on it.
