Dear Sir,
Let me deal first with personal matters. I did receive a copy of Sergeant Grischa from you some time ago. I like the book very much and I seldom miss an opportunity of praising it. I do not as yet know Pont und Anna, and if you don't send me a copy soon I shall have to buy one myself. I heard somewhere that these 2 volumes are part of a trilogy and that the last volume has not yet appeared. I'm not trying to retaliate when I ask if you already possess a copy of my last little book, Die Zukunft einer Illusion.2 I shall probably not
