Vienna IX, Berggasse 19
29. 1. 32
Dear Mr. Zweig, An answer by return on account of your imminent departure. No line from the whole Renaissance is clearer in my memory than Lorenzo the Magnificent's: Di doman'
non c'e certan,1 and so I cannot fully rejoice that you are going to Palestine instead of Vienna, though I too would like to make such an exchange. We are thinking of spending the summer once again in the beautiful Mauthner house in Pötzleinsdorf (Vienna XVIII), and we look forward to being able to entertain you both in our garden there as we did in Tegel.
The times are not propitious for any production from me; your production must not be interrupted.
Warmest greetings from all of us to you, your wife who is returning home and to Frl. O.
Yours
Freud
