Vienna IX, Berggasse 19
Dear Frau Andreas
Thank you once again for your kind words, which urge me, however, to revise my judgment. For had I known how little joy I would feel on my sixtieth birthday, my first birthday would probably not have given me pleasure either. Even in the happiest of times it would be but a melancholy event.
You will get the first part of the Lectures in a few weeks' time, but there will be nothing new in them.
With warmest greetings,
Freud
