There could be no better news than that you have sent a little book on our psycho-analysis (‘Gescholten viel und viel bewundert, Helena’)69 to the printer. Allow me to say how much I look forward to reading it. Your excellent essay ‘Anal and Sexual’ is already in the compositor's hands here. You know how dilatorily the printers work nowadays, but perhaps you do not know that our publisher deliberately introduces delays on his own account. You will certainly receive the proofs for correction.
It may seem boring and insincere if I reply to each of your letters with compliments. I have received the duplicate you so kindly made of your letter about my articles on the Ucs, and from it I have realized once again the wide range of what is aimed at compared with the small amount of what is actually provided. Ars longa, vita brevis.
