Dear Frau Andreas
Today I commissioned Heller to send you a copy of the fourth instalment of the Sammlung kleiner Schriften, which has at last arrived. The other book is simply the unaltered second impression of the Lectures.
On 30 November my son was safe and sound in the hospital of Teramo (Abruzzi), although running a temperature: we don't yet know where he is now.
The New Year can scarcely be as miserable and unpropitious as the old one. So I think I can venture to send you my warm good wishes for its duration.
