Göttingen, 24.x.1921
Dear Professor,
Your kind letter has just arrived this moment, having crossed one of mine. I see from it that you lay no stress on the remoter January date and that the nearer date in November would perhaps suit you
just as well. If that is so, may I ask whether I could arrive in Vienna, say, on 8 November?
Possibly a woman patient may be coming with me, who is quite glad to be able to have a look at Vienna as a change from Göttingen. Perhaps it would be possible to find a room for her in the vicinity, so that she can come to me for a morning hour.
I feel the great kindness in everything you have written. I would confess without any embarrassment if my purse could not stretch to the journey, but that is not the case. Indeed it is all ready with the money for my ticket, and I can almost hear it jingling with impatience! Today only many, many thanks and greetings till we meet, till which I am counting the days.
Yours,
Lou Andreas
