Murberg Sasbachwalden, 19.2.22
Dear Professor,
Your letter would have made me even happier if it hadn't contained the news of your sneaking influenza. From this distance there is nothing I can do except think friendly thoughts.
This is doubly easy for me because for a few days I have been in possession of a lovely edition of your lectures72. The publishers have thus surpassed themselves and I was very happy that you let me have a copy. Many thanks for this and I hope you will get well soon.
In a few days my holidays are coming to an end. I haven't done any work, but I have collected all sorts of impressions of the forest and animals in winter and snow.
With best wishes
Your loyal disciple Groddeck
