Baden Baden, April 15, 1925
Dear Professor,
I have read your autobiography97 and enjoyed it very much.
In the final sentence there is so much simple force that I am convinced of your recovery. Everything is certainly leading uphill and the observer and investigator knows that this wanderer will continue to climb for a long time and with firm steps, full of vitality and the ability to take in and digest impressions.
Landauer98 told me that he will visit you in Vienna. I am looking forward to hearing more from him. He is a pleasant person whose nature and words I trust and whom I like listening to.
We experience all sorts of things here, some things I believed I had known for a long time assume new and stimulating forms. I am curious to know where it will all lead to. So far I can only tell by my fattening belly that I am pregnant again. I am keen to write an analytical biography. My wife is trying to persuade me to write a methodical work on the It. Maybe it will all evaporate into a few small articles.
Best regards from us two.
Your loyal disciple Groddeck
Personally I am flattered that you have again expressed your view on the qualification of non-medical practitioners to practice psychoanalysis99.
