In this article, we explore the means by which the senses are represented in phantasy and how specific senses may represent the parents. The theory that the parental intercourse is a model for instigation of the thinking process by linking each parent to a separate sense modality is developed. The linkage of primitive sense data in organized coded form leads to the experience of dimension. The organization of sense representatives in phantasy shift mental boundaries and thereby alter psychological meaning not only by changing the dimension of internal space, but by altering the experience of dimension of the mental objects in relation to boundaries.
Non-verbal aspects of the parricidal and infanticidal transference are explored as a function of the oedipal myth. Splitting of the sense representatives as a variant of attacks on linking are directly related to difficulties in memory retrieval.
