The Hungarian writer met Freud on three occasions. These are reported here on the basis of her memoirs. In 1911 she had turned to him for advice on a personal matter. Through Ferenczi's help she interviewed Freud in Budapest 1918. The interview—until now available only in Hungarian—is quoted almost in full. The 1926 meeting in the Austrian resort town of Semmering took place in the shadow of the Freud-Ferenczi conflict.
