Teaching About Psychodynamic Work with Severely Ill Patients

Dr. Silver is a Past President of the American Academy of Psychoanalysis and Dynamic Psychiatry and currently chairs its Scientific Programs Committee. She is the President of the U.S. Chapter of the International Society for the Psychological treatments of the Schizophrenias and other psychoses (). She has founded the Columbia (Maryland) Academy of Psychodynamics. She will chair the next Clinical Sándor Ferenczi Conference, to be held August 2-6, 2006 in Baden-Baden, celebrating Ferenczi's and Groddeck's friendship and collaboration.
