Freud provided an important impetus for dealing with the topic of »time« in his A Note Upon the »Mystic Writing-Pad«. Psychosomatics and disorders in relation to this »reality«, which we find in our clinical work, speak against the idea that the human body is the result of a natural biological development, which then adapts to reality with the help of its mental equipment. Patients can live in their own reality and especially in their own time. An extreme example is psychosis, another one studied by Sami-Ali are specific psychopathological forms of forgetting. For psychoanalysts like Sami-Ali and Lacan before him, the body and its time are the result of a construction process in whose success or failure the attachment figures, especially the mother and her body, are decisively involved. Only at the end of this construction process we find the human subject, whose reality and time have little to do with the categories created by the classical sciences and implanted in the school and educational system. The Argentinian psychoanalyst Rodulfo reconstructs this construction-process of the subject and its body on the basis of his work with children, while the philosopher Jaques Derrida analyses this contradiction between the scientific view of the world and the subject at the level of language.
